Bullying（欺负）inschoolisaproblemformanystaffaswellaspupils,accordingtoateachers’unionsurvey.Thebulliesareoftenotherteacherswhopickontheircolleagues—withheadsandseniorstaffbullymostoften.Thesurveysaysaboutaquarterofteachershavebeenbulliedbyanothermemberofstaff.
Thesurveyofmorethan900primary,secondary,andfurther-educationstaffacrosstheUK,showedthatmanyteachersfacedarangeofworkplace-bullyingthreats.
Butamongtheteacherswhofelttheyhadbeenbullied,50%saiditwasbyaseniormemberofstaff,comparedwith25%bypupilsand23%byparents.
“Ididn’treportitasthepersonbullyingwastheheadteacher,”saidaprimaryschoolteacher.
“Iwasdrivenfromapreviousjobbyaheadteacher.Shelashesout（痛斥）ateverybodyaroundher,”saidasecondaryschoolteacher.
Anotherteacher,aheadofdepartmentinanacademy,said:
