1、Children’sResearchCenter

TheCenter

SincetheChildren'sResearchCenter（CRC）openedin1982,over15,000babies,children,andparentsfromdiversebackgroundshavevolunteeredtoparticipateinourresearch.WithintheCRC,thereareelevenlabsconductingresearchonchilddevelopment.Ourresearchexaminesabroadrangeoftopics,includingthedevelopmentoflanguage,parent-childrelationshipsandculturalinfluencesondevelopment.Researchprojectsaresupportedprimarilythroughfederalassistanceandprivatedonations.

Inaddition,theCRCprovidestrainingforapproximately150collegestudentsperyear.Theircloseworkwiththestaffonspecificresearchprojectspreparesthemtoachieveadvanceddegreesandprofessionaljobsworkingwithchildren.

Participation

Childrentypicallyenjoyparticipatinginourresearchandparentsreporttheexperiencetobeinterestingandinformative.ManyagreeloparticipateinmorethanonestudyandoftenrecommendtheCRCtotheirfriendsorneighbors.

Wearelookingforvoluntaryparticipationofchildrenfrombirthto15yearsofageatpresent.Ifyouareinterestedinhavingyourchildparticipateinoneofourstudiesorhaveanyquestions,youcancallus,emailusorfillinouronlineform.

TheLibrary

TheMakesLibrary,namedforalateprofessorofourcenter,liesonthefirstflooroftheCRC.Supportedentirelybyprivatedonors（捐赠者），itprovidesup-to-datenewspapersandmagazinesandsomebooksindevelopmentalpsychologyforpeopleattheCRC.Thecenterdecidedtobuilditasameetingplaceoriginally.Nowstaffseminarsareheldinthelibrary,anditisalsotheplaceofthedevelopmentalarealsseminarandconferenceinwhichspeakersfromacrossthecountrypresenttheirresearch.

2、WelcometotheVanGoghGalleryforinformationaboutthelifeandworkofVincentvanGogh.Asapostimpressionistpainterandoneofthemostfamousartistsofalltime,Vincent vanGoghhasbecomeamodel.FromgrowingupinHollandandworkingasapastor（牧师）,movingtoFranceandcreatinganunbelievablecollectionofartwork,thissitetakesanin-depthlookat VanGogh'slife,hisworkandtheinfluencehehashadonourculture.

VanGoghhadmanyinfluencesonhislifeincludinghisfamilyandfriends,otherartistssuchasEdgarDegas,andhishealth.ToseehoweachoftheseaffectedhislifepleasevisittheImportantFigures, ArtisticInfluences andHealthsections.ForinformationabouthowVanGogh'sarthasinfluencedoursocietytoday,viewtheImpactonArt,CulturalReferences,orNewssection.
