treallytellyoumuch,butshouldtellyouenoughtogetyoustarted.Yougetadescriptionofthepersonalstatement,alistofbulletpointsofinformationyouwanttoincludeandsomeinformationaboutprintingit.Youmayalsofindyoucollegeorschoolgivesyousomeadditionalinformation.Ifyouthinkthisinformationisenoughtogoon,andyourstatementisalreadyforminginyourmindthenyoucanstopreadinghereandgetonwithyourstatement!

AimsofthePersonalstatement

Manyuniversitiesdon'

tinterviewapplicants,sotheonlyinformationtheyhaveaboutyouisyourUCASform.MostoftheUCASformonlycontainsyourdetails,thebitstheuniversitiesareinterestedinisyourgrades,yourreferencesandyourpersonalstatement.Thepersonalstatementistheonlybityoureallyhavecontrolover,sothisisyourchancetopresentagoodimagetotheadmissionstutor,evenifyourgradesdon'

treallyreflectthatimage.

Ifyouareapplyingtoanoversubscribeduniversitycourse,andeveryoneapplyingislikelytohavegoodgrades,thepersonalstatementistheonlythingthattellsyouapartfromotherapplicants,soyouwanttotryandmakeyoursasgoodaspossible.

Thesearethesortofquestionsyouneedtoanswerinyourpersonalstatement.Unfortunatelyyoucannotanswerthemdirectly,youneedtoprovideevidenceandmakeitsoundbelievable.
