Sometimesthetemperaturecanchangeinawaythathelpsus.Thegreenhouseeffectmakestheearthappropriateforpeopletoliveon.Withoutit,theearthwouldbefreezing,orontheotherhanditwouldbeburninghot.Wewouldnotgetthesun’sheatandlighttomakethenightsomewhatwarm.Duringtheday,especiallyduringthesummer,itwouldbeburningbecausethesunwouldbeupwithnoatmospheretofilter(过滤)it,sopeople,plants,andanimalswouldbeexposedtoallthelightandheat.

Althoughthegreenhouseeffectmakestheearthabletohavepeoplelivingonit,iftheregetstobetoomanygases,theearthcangetunusuallywarmer,andmanyplants,animals,andpeoplewilldie.Theywoulddiebecausetherewouldbelessfood(plantslikecorn,wheat,andothervegetablesandfruits).Thiswouldhappenbecausetheplantswouldnotbeabletotakeintheheat.Thiswouldcauseustohavelessfoodtoeat,butitwouldalsolimitthefoodthatanimalshave.Gradually,people,plants,andanimalswoulddieofhunger.
