Nationwide,$165billionworthoffoodiswastedeachyear,accordingtotheNationalResourcesDefenseCouncil.SpokesmanBobKeefssaysthatisabout40%ofthecountry'sentirefoodproduction."Ifwecanreduceourwasteinthiscountryby15%,wecanfeed25millionhungryAmericans.Thatisahugebenefit.ThatiswhatprogramslikethisFoodRecoveryNetworkaredoing,"hesaid.
