POWERELECTRONICTECHNOLOGYAPPLICATIONSINTHEPOWERSYSTEM

Powerelectronictechnologyhasbeenwidelyusedinpowersystems.High-powerelectronicdevicesusedinflexibleACtransmissiontechnology,qualitativepowertechnology,thenewDCtransmissiontechnology,harmoniccontrolandsynchronizationbreakingtechnology,itisthethingofnearlylastfewyears.

Thedevelopmentofpowersystemandpowerelectronictechnology,

(1)thepowerelectronictechnologyisalsocalledenergytechnology,withmicroelectronicsscienceofcommonfeatures,strongcreativityandrapidlychangingcharacteristics.Theworldresourcesexhausted,thedeteriorationoftheenvironment,energydevelopment,saveandsustainabledevelopmentintothe21stcenturyglobaleconomicandsocialdevelopmentoftheimportantstrategic.Electricityisthemostclean,themostconvenientandthequalityofelectricenergy,utilizingandpromotetherapiddevelopmentofecologicalcivilizationofhumansociety,andalsotheindustrializationandtheinformationage.Powerelectronictechnologydevelopment,thecausewasbornwiththerevolutionarychange,powerutilizationgreatlychangedthetraditionalconceptofpeopleuseelectricity.Electricpowerqualityhasattractedattention,thedepthofelectricitythroughpowerelectronicdevicesandadjusttheproportionisalsousedtomeasurethelevelofpowerareimportantindexes.Somestatistics,thisindexcurrentlyintheglobalscopehasbeento40%.Overthenextfewyearsareexpectedtoreach80%.

(2)powerelectronictechnologytoachieveoptimalpowerconversion,highefficiency,energysaving,materialsaving,isautomaticandintelligent,mechatronicsfieldofimportanttechnicalsupport.Withthepowerelectronictechnologyinnovation,powerelectronicsdevicemanufacturingtechnologyhasimprovedgreatly,andthuscausestheindustrialautomationcontrolandelectromechanicalintegrationofcompetition.(3)powerstations,powerandelectricequipmentintoelectricityassociation,calledthepowersystem.Asakindofpowerelectronictechnologyconsultativeelectronictechnology,throughthefusionwithhighvoltageelectricitycontrol,hasoozetopowersystemofpowersystem,eachlinktomoderndevelopment,hasbroughtgreatvitality.Sincethereformandopenpolicy,ourcountryelectricpowerindustryachievedrapiddevelopment,formedbythecoalasthemainbody,theelectricpowerasthecenter,oil,gasandcomprehensivedevelopmentofrenewableenergysources.Ourelectricity6.22millionkWinstalledcapacitytoachieve2.87billionkWh,electricity,andarelistedasworld,theproductionanduseofelectricpower.Theelectricpowerdevelopmentexistsinsomeobviousrestrainingfactors.Oneisthepowerlevelsarerelativelylow,averageannualelectricityconsumptionisonlyoneoftheworld'saveragelevel,economicandsocialdevelopmentofelectricpowerstillexistgreatdemand,Twoisoutstanding,resourceconstraints,lowefficiencyofenergyutilization,Theenergystructureunreasonable,objectiveconditions,powerstructureanddistribution,butalsoreachtheoptimallayout.Torealizethepowerofscientificdevelopment,mustingreaterrangeofelectricpowerresourceconfiguration,toestablishadjustment,thenationalunifiedpowersystem.Accordingtothesituationofourcountry,theelectricpowerdevelopmentobjectivesandguidelinesforthebigunitmustfollow,powerplant,automation,information",Hydroelectricpower,power,nuclearpower,newenergyresourcescomprehensivedevelopment,Powertransmissionfromwesttoeast,northandsouth,offeringmutuallostthenetworking,networkstructure,synchronousultramodernpowersystemconstruction,andthedirectionofpowertheadvancementofscienceandtechnologyisanimportantstrategicemphasis,especiallytospeedupthepowerelectronictechnologywiththermalpowertechnology,powertechnology,wirelesstechnologyandelectronictechnology,automaticcontroltechnologyandthemutualinfiltrationandmutualcomplementationandmutualcomplement,deepenthedevelopment,toestablishthedevelopmentofpowersystem,technicalsupportsystem.

1,Powerelectronictechnologyappliedtopowerlink

(2)Thewindgeneratorspeedconstantfrequencyexcitation.Hydroelectricpowerdependsontheheadoftheeffectivepressureandflowofthehead,whenalargerextentchange(especiallythepumped-storageunit),unitofthebestspeedalsochange.Windpowerofeffectivepowerandspeedofthethreetimes,isdirectlyproportionaltothemaximumwindspeedwindmillscapturewiththewindchanges.Inordertoobtainmaximumeffectivepower,canmaketheoperationunitbyadjustingtherotorspeedandthecurrentfrequency,andtherotorspeedstackmaintainsafterstatorfrequencyoutputfrequencyisconstant.Theapplicationofinverterpoweristhecoretechnology.

(4)Solarcontrolsystem.Developmentandutilizationofcleanenergyendlessnew--solarenergystructureadjustment,thefutureisanimportantstrategicmeasures.Solarpower,bothindependentsystemandgridsystem,usuallyneedtosolararrayofconvertingacmotor,sohasthefunctionoftheinverterpowertrackingsystemsbecome.Japan'splansto3~4kWsunshineinthegridgenerationsystemisgivenpriorityto,theimplementationofthetransmissiontothetownshipconstructionin10~15kWindependentsystem,buttherearelargesysteminCalifornia'sSiemenssolarplants(7.2MW),etc.

2,FlexibleACTransmissionSystem(FACTS)

FlexibleACTransmissionSystemisanewtechnologyinthelateeightiesdevelopedrapidlyinrecentyearsintheworld.Expertspredictthetechnologywillcausethepowertransmissionanddistributionofmajorchanges,forfulluseofexistingnetworkresourcesandtoachieveefficientuseofenergy,thistechnologywillplayanimportantrole.

FlexibleACtransmissiontechnologyisthecombinationofthepowerelectronicstechnologyandmoderncontroltechnologytoachievethepowersystemvoltage,parameters(suchaslineimpedance),phaseangle,thetrendofcontinuouspowerregulationandcontrol,therebythetransmissionlinecapacityandpowertransmissionthelevelofsystemstability,havebeenhighlyimproved,italsoreducetransmissionlosses.

Traditionalpowerflowregulationmeasures,suchasmechanicalcontrollingphaseshifterwithloadtransfertransformertap,switchcapacitorsandinductors,fixedseriescompensationdevices,canonlyachievesomeoftheregulatoryfunctionofsteady-stateflow,and,becausemechanicalswitchingtimeislong,slowresponse,unabletoadaptquicklyandflexiblyduringthetransientprocessinacontinuouspowerflowregulation,oscillationdampingsystemrequirements.Therefore,thenetworkneedstopromotethedevelopmentofflexibleACtransmissionofthedevelopmentofnewtechnologiesandapplications.Inrecentyears,flexibleACtransmissiontechnologyhasbeenintheUnitedStates,Japan,Sweden,BrazilandothercountriesimportantEHVTransmissionProjecthasbeenapplied.

AlthoughtheflexibleACtransmissiontechnologyhasbeenappliedseveraltransmissionprojectsandproveditssuperiorperformanceinimprovingthetransmissionline,thedampingsystemoscillation,fastreactivepowerconditioningsystems,improvesystemstabilityandsoon,butthepaceofitsmarketingapplicationslowerthanexpected.Mainreasons:

projectcostsolutionsthantheconventionalhigh.Therefore,onlyintheconventionaltechnologycannotsolvethecase,theuserwillturntoFACTStechnology;FACTStechnologyalsoneedsfurtherimprovement.FACTSTechnologynowalsobelimitedtoindividualprojects,iflarge-scaleapplicationofFACTSdevices,butalsotosolvesometechnicalproblemsoverall.WiththepowerelectronicdeviceperformanceenhancementandcostreductiontopowerelectronicdevicesasthecorecomponentswillreducethecostofFACTSdevicesmaybeinthenearfuturethantheconventionaltransmissionanddistributionprogramsmorecompetitive.

FACTStechnologyhasbeenimproved,somenewofFACTSdevicesaredeveloped,forexample:

convertedstaticcompensatordevices(CSC),Itconsistsofvoltagesourceinverterdevicewhichcancontroltwoormorelineflow(active,reactive),voltage,impedanceandphaseangle,anditcanachieveconversionbetweentwocircuitline.Convertiblestaticcompensatorhasthefollowingfeatures:

(1)Staticsynchronouscompensatorparallelreactivecompensationfunction;

(2)Staticsynchronousseriescompensatorfunction;

(3)Integratedflowcontrollerfunction;

(4)Thetwolinesabovethetrendlinebetweentheflowcontrolfunction;CSCisconsideredthethirdgenerationofflexibleACtransmissiondevices.
