1.AtfirstI’dliketointroducetheanalysisoftheteachingmaterial.

Thislessonisareadingpassage,whichintroducestwounbalanceddietsthroughthestoryofWangpengandYonghui..ItplaysaveryimportantpartintheEnglishteachingofthisunit,becauseweshouldlayparticularemphasisonthestudents’readingability.Itfocusesonthestudents'abilitiestogatherinformation;dealwithinformation;solveproblemsandtheabilitiestothinkandexpressinEnglish.

Accordingtomyunderstanding,Idesignsuchteachingprocessasleadingin,prediction,fastreading,carefulreading,retelling,discussion,summaryandhomeworksoastohelpstudentstomasterreadingstrategies(阅读策略)andreadingskills(阅读技巧),improvestudents’readingcomprehensionabilitiesandoralandwrittenexpressionabilities.

2.NowI’lltalkaboutmyteachingaims(教学目标)ofthisperiod

Theknowledgeaims(知识目标)ofthisperiodaretoenablethestudentstomastersomeusefulwordsandexpressionsandbytheendofthelesson,thestudentswillhaveabetterunderstandingofthemeaningandstructureofthetext..

Theabilityaims(技能目标)aretoimprovestudents’abilitiestopredictthecontentofthetextandobtainmaininformationbyusingreadingstrategies.Meanwhile,improvingstudents’abilitiesofspeakingandwritingbydiscussionandretellingisalsoimportant.

Foremotionalaims(情感目标)andculturalsense(文化意识)I’llstimulatethestudents’sensetoformahealthyeatinghabitanddevelopthestudents’senseofcooperativelearning(合作意识).

Beforethelesson,weshouldkeepinmindsomethingaboutstudents.Inmyclasssomestudentshaveknownsomethingaboutthetopic,becausetheyhavetalkedaboutitinthepreviousperiod---warmingupandspeaking.Butsomelongsentencesaredifficultforthemtounderstand.Theydon’toftenuseEnglishtoexpressthemselvesandcommunicatewithothers.Somestudentsarenotactiveintheclassbecausetheyareafraidofmakingmistakes.Soduringthelesson,Iarrangeavarietyofactivitiestoletallofthemjoinintoattracttheirinterestandletthembeconfidentandtastethejoyofsuccess.

WhenIdealwiththislesson,I’lldomybesttocarryoutthetheoriesofthenewcurriculum,suchastask-basedteachingandlearning任务型教学法);cooperativelearning(合作学习法)andinteractiveapproach(互动教学法);makethestudentstherealmastersinclasswhileI,theteacheractsasdirector;combinethelanguagestructureswiththelanguagefunctionsandletthestudentsreceivesomemoraleducationwhiletheyarelearningtheEnglishlanguage.

AndIwilladoptfastreadingtogetageneralideaofthetextandcarefulreadingtogetthedetailedinformation;pairorgroupworktogeteverystudenttobeactiveinclass;question-and-answeractivityteachingmethodandfreediscussionmethodtomakethestudentssmoothawaythedifficulties,andretellingtosumupthewholeperiod.

Asfortheteachingaids(教学用具),I’llmakefulluseofmulti-mediatomaketheclassmorelivelyandinteresting.Withthehelpofthecomputerandcourseware,Ithinktheefficiencyoftheclasswillbegreatlyimproved.

Iwillleadinthetopicoftheunitbyshowingthestudentsashortfilmabouthealthyeating,inwhichafatmanandathinmanareeatingdifferentkindofdiet,andtheyarebothunhealthy.Andthendiscussthefollowingquestionstoleadinthetopic:
