Thislessonisareadingpassage,whichintroducestwounbalanceddietsthroughthestoryofWangpengandYonghui..ItplaysaveryimportantpartintheEnglishteachingofthisunit,becauseweshouldlayparticularemphasisonthestudents’readingability.Itfocusesonthestudents'abilitiestogatherinformation;dealwithinformation;solveproblemsandtheabilitiestothinkandexpressinEnglish.
Accordingtomyunderstanding,Idesignsuchteachingprocessasleadingin,prediction,fastreading,carefulreading,retelling,discussion,summaryandhomeworksoastohelpstudentstomasterreadingstrategies(阅读策略)andreadingskills(阅读技巧),improvestudents’readingcomprehensionabilitiesandoralandwrittenexpressionabilities.
