My topic is the reading passage Come and Eat Here, which is in unit 2 Module 3. I divide my speech into four parts : my understanding of this
2、lesson(教材分析);teaching theories, methods and aids(教学思路);teaching procedures(教学过程) and blackboard design(板书设计).I. Now lets start with part 1. My understanding of this lesson:1. At first Id like to introduce the analysis of the teaching material. This lesson is a reading passage , which introduces two
3、unbalanced diets through the story of Wangpeng and Yonghui. .It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit, because we should lay particular emphasis on the students reading ability. It focuses on the students abilities to gather information; deal with information; solve proble
4、ms and the abilities to think and express in English. According to my understanding ,I design such teaching process as leading in ,prediction ,fast reading ,careful reading ,retelling ,discussion ,summary and homework so as to help students to master reading strategies(阅读策略) and reading skills(阅读技巧)
5、 ,improve students reading comprehension abilities and oral and written expression abilities. 2. Now Ill talk about my teaching aims (教学目标)of this periodThe knowledge aims(知识目标) of this period are to enable the students to master some useful words and expressions and by the end of the lesson, the st
6、udents will have a better understanding of the meaning and structure of the text.The ability aims(技能目标) are to improve students abilities to predict the content of the text and obtain main information by using reading strategies. Meanwhile ,improving students abilities of speaking and writing by dis
7、cussion and retelling is also important.For emotional aims(情感目标)and cultural sense(文化意识) Ill stimulate the students sense to form a healthy eating habit and develop the students sense of cooperative learning(合作意识).3. In my opinion the important teaching points (教学重点)in this period is to enable stude
8、nts to realize the effect of balanced diet on health and how to improve the students reading ability.:The difficult teaching points(教学难点) for the students are how to understand the text better and how to use the learned phrases and sentences to retell the text.II. Now lets focus on the second part a
9、bout my teaching theories, methods and aids教学原理,教学方法与教学用具):Before the lesson, we should keep in mind something about students. In my class some students have known something about the topic, because they have talked about it in the previous period -warming up and speaking. But some long sentences ar
10、e difficult for them to understand. They dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. Some students are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. So during the lesson, I arrange a variety of activities to let all of them join in to attract their
11、 interest and let them be confident and taste the joy of success. When I deal with this lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the theories of the new curriculum, such as task-based teaching and learning任务型教学法); cooperative learning(合作学习法) and interactive approach(互动教学法); make the students the real mas
12、ters in class while I, the teacher acts as director;combine the language structures with the language functions and let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.And I will adopt fast reading to get a general idea of the text and careful reading to get th
13、e detailed information; pair or group work to get every student to be active in class; question-and-answer activity teaching method and free discussion method to make the students smooth away the difficulties, and retelling to sum up the whole period.As for the teaching aids(教学用具),Ill make full use
14、of multi-media to make the class more lively and interesting. With the help of the computer and courseware, I think the efficiency of the class will be greatly improved.III. Here comes the most important part, the teaching procedures:I have designed the following steps to train the students ability
15、of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading ability.Step1.Revision(2m) As it is the second period of this unit, Ill first check the students homework and then get a student to tell the class what a healthy diet contains. Thus I can offer a chance for the students to review the co
16、ntent in the first period. Step2.Lead-in (2m)I will lead in the topic of the unit by showing the students a short film about healthy eating, in which a fat man and a thin man are eating different kind of diet, and they are both unhealthy. And then discuss the following questions to lead in the topic: What kind of food does each man like?Are they healthy? Why? Through this activity I can arouse the students interest
