Shen'sHouse

Shen'sHouseislocatedtothesoutheastofFu'anBridge,onNanshiStreet.Itwasbuiltin1742duringtheQingDynastybyShenBeen,adescendantofShenWanshenwhowasamanofwealthinsouthernChinainthelateYuan（1206-1368）toearlyMingDynasties.

Itconsistsofsevencourtyards,fivearchways,morethan100roomsofdifferentsizealongtwosidesofa100-m-longaxisroad,coveringanareaof201Xsq.m,offeringauniquetraditionalChinesearchitecturalstyle.

Ithasthreesections.Thefirstincludesthewatergateandwharfformooringboatsandwashing.ThesecondoneconsistsoftheTeaHallandMainHallforreceivingguestsandholdingweddingorfuneralceremonies.Therearpartservesaslivingquarters.

Zhang'sHouseislocatedatthesouthoftheTwinBridgeonBeishiStreet.Builtbetween1436and1449bytheoffspringofXuKui,thebrotherofZhongshanKingXuDa,itwassoldtoZhang'sfamilyintheearlyQingDynasty,afterwhichitwascalledeitherYuyan（JadeSwallow）HallorZhang'sHouse.

Ithas6courtyardsandmorethan70rooms,coveringmorethan1800sq.m.Thefirstcourtyard

hassidebuildingsontheeastandwest,withlongandshortwindows.YuyanHallisthemainbuilding,largeandbrightwithgrandcolumnonbignanmupierbases,arareMingstyle.Ariverflowsunderthehall,withasquarepoolbuiltinthemiddlesectiontoallowboatstoturnround.Itsrearhallhasopenwindowsandbalconiesfacingthewaterwithabackyardofvariousplantsandflowers.

Theplacenowisanimportantculturalrelicunderprotectionoftheprovincialgovernment.
