4.1FibreBridge6500N产品介绍

StartingwithDataONTAP8.1,MetroClustersupportsSASshelves(DS4243,DS2246).TheshelvesattachtotheMetroClusterconfigurationusingaSAStoFCBridgecalledtheFibreBridge.

StretchMetroClusterconfigurationsachievecampusdistances(max500m)usingfiberopticcablesofsufficientlength.Thesecablesextendfromcontrollertocontrollerandfromcontrollertoshelfacrosscampusdistances.SAScableslackthelengthrequiredforcampusdistances;asaresulttheFibreBridgeisnecessarytoleveragefiberopticcablesofextendedlength.

2WorkfromthecomputerattachedtotheFibreBridgeEthernetportonthesamebroadcastdomain.RuntheQuickNavUtilityQuickNAV-windows.exeforWindowsorQuickNAV-MacforMacOSX.

3LocatetheFibreBridgewiththeserialnumberrecordedearlier.

4Highlighttheserialnumber.

5ClickNext.IfaDHCPserverisavailableonyournetwork,anaddressisassignedautomaticallybytheserver.

Notetheassignedaddress:

IfyoudonothaveaDHCPserver:

refertotheIPaddress,subnetmaskandGatewayaddresspreviouslyobtainedfromyournetworkadministrator,typeitintotheareaprovidedandclickNext.SelectOKtorestarttheFibreBridgeandwait1minutewhiletheFibreBridgereboots.TheManagementPortthatisdirectlyconnectedtothecomputerisnowconfiguredandreadytobeused.

6ClickonLaunchBrowser.Result:

TheATTOExpressNAVinterfacewelcomescreenappears.

ExpressNAVGUI:

InternetExplorer8or9,orMozillaFirefox3.

Ø使用CLI配置IP地址

ToconfigureanEthernetManagementPortusingCLI,connectaserialcabletotheFibreBridgeandenterthefollowingcommands.Useparametermp1toconfigureManagementPort1andmp2forManagementPort2:

The‘info’commandshowsiftheFibreBridgealreadyhasanIPaddress,subnetmaskandGatewayaddressfortheManagementPort.

Ifnot,usethevaluesobtainedfromyournetworkadministratorandenterthefollowingcommands:

setIPDHCPdisabledsetIPAddress[mp1|mp2]xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

setIPSubnetMask[mp1|mp2]xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

setIPGateway[mp1|mp2]xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

SaveConfigurationRestart

Thenwait1minutewhiletheFibreBridgereboots,andverifyyourchangeswiththe'info'command.

4.2.4更新firmware

Updatethefirmwareoneachbridgetothelatestversion

Note:

TheEthernetmanagement1portenablesyoutoquicklydownloadthebridgefirmware(usingATTOExpressNAVorFTPmanagementinterfaces)andtoretrievecorefilesandextractlogs.

TheFibreBridgefirmwareisdistributedasan.imafileavailablefromyourStorageSolutionsprovider.Downloadthefileandnotethefilename.

Note

ThereisalwaysabackupimageintheFibreBridge,incasetheflashingprocessfails.Afterupdatingthefirmware,verifythecorrectprogramversionisexecutingbyviewingthestatuspageandcheckingthefirmwarerevisionnumber.

UsingExpressNAV

1IfyouarenotalreadyintheExpressNAVinterface,typetheIPaddressofyourFibreBridgeinastandardbrowser,clickEnterHere,typeinyourusernameandpassword,andclickOK.

2ClickontheFirmwareUpdatemenuitemontheleft-handsideofthepage.

3TheFirmwareUpdatepageappears.ClickBrowsetolocatethefirmwareyoudownloadedearlier.

4Highlightthefile.

5ClickUpload.

6Waituntilanewpageisdisplayedthatshowsthestatusofeachstepofthedownload.

7Result:

UponsuccessfulcompletionoftheFlashingFirmwareprocess,anoticewillappearatthebottomofthepagealongwit
