Thiswasnotascientificstudy.Radeskyisquicktopointout.Itwasmorelikeanthropological(人类学的)observation,completewithdetailedfieldnotes.Fortyofthe55parentsusedamobiledeviceduringthemeal,andmany,shesays,weremoreabsorbedinthedevicethaninthekids.
Radeskysaysthat’sabigmistake,becauseface-to-faceinteractionsaretheprimarywaychildrenlearn.“Theyleanlanguage,theylearnabouttheirownemotions,andtheylearnhowtoregulatethem,”shesays.“Theylearnbywatchingushowtohaveaconversation,andhowtoreadotherpeople'
