inanotherwisedullexistence.Dullnessandlonelinesswerecommonproblemsofthefamilies
whogenerallyliveddistantfromoneanother.Strangersandtravelerswerewelcomesourcesof
diversion,andbroughtnewsoftheoutsideworld.
