Undergraduateresearchisagoodwaytodevelopastudent'smind.Itcanalsogivethestudentaheadstartonacareerorevenearnthestudentsomemoney.Whendoingresearchthestudentmustworkindependently,whichbuildsconfidencewhilepracticingusefulskills.Byapplyingknowledgelearnedfromabookoraclassroomtoaresearchproject,thestudentlearnsmuchmorethancouldbelearnedinanotherway.Masteryoffactsisonlythebeginningofourlearning.It’swhatwedowiththemthatreallymatters.
