教学设计:
一.学情分析
1.九年级Unit8I’llhelpcleanupthecityparks.语言目标是提供帮助,通过运用动词词组围绕“volunteer”展开话题,前半部分围绕“waysofofferingpeople”,后半部分围绕“waysoftellingpeopleabouttheClean-UpDay ”。
在熟悉和操练各个动词词组的基础上通过各种各样活动的开展培养学生的综合语言应用能力。
对于九年级的学生可能已经不像七年级、八年级学生那样热衷于普通的课堂活动,所以设计怎样的课堂活动,采取怎样的评价方式来提高课堂气氛,从而使学生自然地融入整个教学环节显得尤为重要。
所以任务活动设计尽量贴近学生生活、学习经历和社会实际的,努力引起学生共鸣;同时,教师对每一个任务的解决,都让学生有思考和想象的空间,让学生学有所得,才能提高语用能力和思维能力。
2.学生在初二年已经学过对他人提供帮助的句型,语言知识已有积淀,通过本单元的学习对已有知识进行巩固、提升。
“Unit8I’llhelpcleanupthecityparks”既然是cityparks刚好跟我们厦门这个城市可以联系起来。
所以就围绕“我爱厦门,我要成为厦门志愿者的一员,我帮助厦门打扫城市公园,帮助厦门需要帮助的人”这一在中心思想来开展一系列教学活动。
在培养学生听、说、读、写能力的基础上,培养学生爱家乡,爱厦门,形成健康的人生观,为他们的终身学习和发展打下良好的基础。
二.教材分析
本单元以“主动提供帮助”的志愿者工作为话题,共设计了四个部分的内容:
SectionA
该部分有5个模块:
第一模块围绕“thewaysofhelpingpeople.”这一话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练;第二模块围绕“thewaysoftellingpeopleabouttheclean-upDayandcallingthemuptotakepartinit.”进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c)训练,并就所学语言结构进行总结(GrammarFocus);第三模块就“beingavolunteer”这一话题展开阅读训练(3a).第四模块运用已学内容填写表格(3b)并就表格内容进行角色表演训练(3c);第五模块继续就上一话题并结合自己实际情况以小组活动形式展开讨论(4)。
SectionB
该部分有4个模块:
第一模块进行四个动词短语(runoutof,takeafter,fixup,giveaway)的学习(1a)与运用(1b);第二模块围绕“theinterviewwithavolunteer”进行听力(2a—2b)、就听力内容进行口语训练(2c);第三模块围绕听力内容中所提到的thebikeboy所遇到的难题继续深入展开阅读(3a),并完成读后任务(3b);第四模块就如何结合实际去为身边的人做一些有益的事展开小组活动(4)。
SelfCheck
该部分有2个模块:
第一模块以填空形式对所学词汇进行训练;第二模块就用已给的短语进行写作的训练。
Reading
该部分共设置了5项任务:
第一项任务以小组讨论问题的方式激活学生相关背景知识,为导入新课做准备(1a,1b);第二项任务对阅读策略进行解读与领会应用(3a,3b);第三项任务让学生通过阅读获取信息,并完成读后任务(3c);第四项任务进行一个读后的输出性的综合实践运用。
第五项任务要求学生能运用所学知识解决实际问题;

听、说、读交际活动
相关性分析:
本节课以学生说出在家帮父母亲做什么来导入,进而转换成想帮别人做什么以及为他人的志愿者工作提供建议。
突出相关的本单元的教学重点I’dliketodosth.和提建议的句型。
让学生从听力1b&2a中输入相关性的语言材料。
课堂上老师和学生互动中,老师精心设置贴近学生生活背景的情景让学生通过小组合作学习-俩俩对话谈论青少年可以做什么样的志愿者工作,使得学生自然地输出目标语言,从而初步学会表达如何向他人提供帮助。

第二课时SectionA3a-4
教学课型:
任务型教学

本课是SectionA3a-4部分,在整个单元教学中,起承上启下的作用。
第一课时主要以听、说为主。
让学生用I’dliketodosth.来表达自己的想法以及如何向他人提出自己的建议。
而本课主要以谈论志愿者工作的意义为话题主线,让学生从听、说、读、写四个方面进一步掌握目标语言,为接下来的SectionB的扩展学习做进一步的铺垫。
课堂上通过让学生自由调查同学希望从事哪方面的志愿工作和具体可以做什么,再通过小组汇报,让学生更能自信地表达出自己对志愿工作的想法和看法。
课后通过书面表达的形式让学生巩固课堂所调查的结果。

第三课时SectionB1a-2c
教学课型:
交际型教学
相关性分析:
本课是SectionB1a-2c部分,是SectionA的扩展。
从谈论学生常做的力所能及的志愿活动拓展到扶贫济困的慈善捐助活动。
使得学生在这个过程中学会“在用中学、在学中用”的新课程理念。
在课堂上通过汶川地震慈善活动的导入,以自己的经历为调查内容进行交流。
在有了一定的听、说之后,让学生展开讨论如何进行力所能及且行之有效的慈善志愿活动。
课后通过写出自己所做过的有爱心的事来巩固说的成效。

第四课时SectionB3a-Selfcheck
教学课型:
任务型阅读和写作教学
相关性分析:
本课是SectionB3a-Selfcheck部分。
这节课是阅读与2a听力内容相衔接的材料,培养学生做阅读笔记的能力。
同时指导学生学会提出计划、制定计划并且做出海报来宣传计划。
同时指导学生对写作技巧和素材的积累。

第五课时Reading
教学课型:
任务型阅读教学
教学要求:
通过阅读前、阅读中、阅读后的任务的完成,使得学生能提高阅读、写作能力和一定的阅读、写作技巧。
并且培养学生能使用自己的语言来表达本单元所学的内容。

本课是Reading部分。
是对本单元所学内容的进一步提高和升华。
落实到语言的灵活运用和书面表达上。
通过阅读前设计一小任务口头表达你觉得青少年可以帮助残疾人做什么?
阅读中学会通过词汇词性的判断对生词进行猜测并对阅读文章进行更好的理解。
然后快速阅读并找出相关的信息来完成3c的任务,再进行细读来完成Section4设计的回信。
四.教学目标
按语言知识、语言技能、学习策略、情感态度、文化意识五个方面将本单元的教学目标细化:
