“Assumingtheassociationiscausal,physicalactivityhasaprotectiveeffectagainstdepression.Ifanadultbetweenhistwentiesandfortieswhoisn’tphysicallyactivebecameactive3timesperweek,hewouldreducehisrisksofdepressionbyabout16%,”saidDrSnehaloftheUCLInstituteofChildHealth,leadauthorofthestudy.
