JohnKennedysurvivedWorldWarTwobutsufferedthebackinjuryduringthewar.HereturnedhometoMassachusettswhilehisolderbrother,JosephKennedyJunior,wasnotsolucky.Hewaskilledinthewar.TheKennedyfamilyhadalwaysbelievedJoeJuniorwouldsomedaybecomePresidentoftheUnitedStates.Afterhisdeath,thatgoalfelltohisyoungerbrother.
In1946,JohnKennedywaselectedtotheUnitedStatesHouseofRepresentatives,andserveduntil1952.Thenhewaselectedsenator（参议员）fromMassachusetts.OnJanuary20,1961,hebecameAmerica’sthirty-fifthPresident.ItwasanimportantdayformillionsofAmericans,whosawJohnKennedyasanewbeginningforthecountry.Butsomepeoplewonderedwhetherhehadthatability.TheythoughthewastooyoungtobePresident,sincehewastheyoungestmaneverelected,onlyforty-three.
