【记忆口诀】

基变序，有规律

一、二、三、单独记（first，second，third）

Th从4加起，

八去t,九去e,

f来把ve替，

ty要用tie，

若是变成几十几，只变个位就可以。

序数词的用法：

1.序数词要加定冠词the。

但当序数词前有物主代词（his,her…）、指示代词（this,that…）等修饰时，则不必再用the。

如：

onthethirdfloor在三楼

onhistwelfthbirthday在他十二岁生日这天

2.序数词常用缩写形式，即“阿拉伯数字+个位序数词的后两个字母”。

如：

one→1st;second→2nd;third→3rd;twelfth→12th;twenty-sixth→26th

3.序数词可表示日期“几月几日”中的“几日”。

如:

August17th8月17日October1st10月1日

4.表示分数时，分子常用基数词，分母用序数词。

分子大于一时，分母加s。

如：

a/onehalf二分之一
