句中两个that的意义及所表达的功能都不同。
第一个that是连接词，引导的陈述句作宾语从句，本身没有任何意义。
第二个that是副词，修饰形容词interesting意为“如此，那么”。

我想知道它是否与云南傣族的泼水节相似。
if作是否讲，此句引导的宾语从句表示疑问，怀疑的意义，意为“是否”。
此处也可用whether表示。
