WhenIbeganplanningtomovetoAucklandtostudy,mymotherwasalittleworriedabouttheuncertaintyoflivinginaplacethatwassodifferentfromIndia,wherewelived.Sheworriedparticularlyaboutthelackofjobs,theculturaldifferencesandthechancethatIwouldfaceracism（种族偏见）.
