WhenIbeganplanningtomovetoAucklandtostudy,mymotherwasalittleworriedabouttheuncertaintyoflivinginaplacethatwassodifferentfromIndia,wherewelived.Sheworriedparticularlyaboutthelackofjobs,theculturaldifferencesandthechancethatIwouldfaceracism(种族偏见).
