中等动脉由内,中，外三层膜构成。

内膜很薄，最内层为内皮,一般只见内皮细胞核扁，染色深，并突向内腔，内皮下层为极薄的结缔组织，内皮下层极难看到，往外为中膜，较厚，主要由数十层环行的平滑肌细胞构成，外膜为疏松结缔组织，其中有小血管，称营养血管。

淋巴结表面有薄层被膜，由致密的结缔组织构成。

可见少量结缔组织把腺实质分隔成许多小叶。

下颌下腺是混合性腺，小叶内可见许多圆形或不规则形的腺泡，染紫红色的是浆液性腺泡、染色浅的是粘液性腺泡，还有混合性腺跑。

高倍镜下，可见浆液性腺泡由浆液性细胞围成，腺泡呈圆形，腺腔小如针头般大，腺细胞呈锥形，核圆，靠近细胞基底部，基底部胞质嗜碱性，核上部则见许多红色的分泌颗粒；粘液性腺泡由粘液性细胞围成，腺泡呈圆形，腺腔较大而整齐，腺细胞也呈锥形，核扁平，贴于细胞的基底部，核周胞质嗜碱性，核上部胞质着色很浅，呈空泡状；混合性腺泡由浆液性腺泡和粘液性腺泡共同组成，粘液性细胞围成腺泡，几个浆液性细胞则贴在腺泡的一侧，呈半月形，故称半月。

肾小球：

为肾小囊内一团蟠曲的毛细血管，其中除内皮细胞核肾小囊脏层足细胞外，还有血管系膜细胞。

肾小囊：

分脏层和壁层，脏层细胞为足细胞，紧贴在毛细血管外面；壁层为单层扁平上皮，其间的间隙即肾小囊腔。

近端小管起始部连接肾小囊，末部连接细段，细段再连接远端小管，远端小管接皮质集合管。
