TheNewYorkTimescallsSinglish“patchwork”becauseSingaporeconsistsofmigrants(移民)fromseveralcountriesincludingChina,IndiaandMalaysia,andtheyallspeaktheirownversionsof“English”.
“Everyonewhospeaksitshapesit,”wrotethenewspaper.
