Theresearchersalsostudiedtheeconomiceffectofchangingthecoloroftheentirefleetoftaxistoyellow.TheSingaporetaxicompanyinvolvedinthestudyownsabout16,700taxisinaratio(比率)ofoneyellowtaxitothreebluetaxis.Ifacommercialdecisionismadetoswitchfrombluetoyellowtaxis,76.6feweraccidentswouldoccurpermonthor917feweraccidentsperyear.Assuminganaveragerepaircostof$1,000percarandadowntimeofsixdays,switchingthecolorofalltaxistoyellowcouldproduceanannualsavingof$2million.
