ThescientistshadpreviouslythoughtthattheCaliforniapopulationwasseparatefromthepopulationthathadhistoricallylivedinNorthPacificwaters.ButthecurrentstudyshowsthatwhalesoffthecoastofBritishColumbiaandtheGulfofAlaskaarelikelyparto
