完形填空押题注意事项
1.有可能文章题目改变,而文章不变。
2.有可能15道题中部分选择完全或部分改变。
3.有可能押不中,只有全选B或C,还能拿4分。
但有史以来从未出现这种情况。
如何准备押题
1.不要用文章题目识别文章。
而用文章第一句。
2.不要记选项中的单词,而要记住全文。

Itwasagreatlegendwhileitlasted,butDNAtestinghasfinallyendedatwo-century-oldstoryoftheHawaiianarrowcarvedfromtheboneofBritishexplorerCaptainJamesCookwhodiedintheSandwichIslands1in1779.
“ThereisnoCook2intheAustralianMuseum,”museumcollectionmanagerJudePhilipsaidnotlongagoinannouncingtheDNAevidencethatthearrowwasnotmadeofCook’sbone.Butthatwillnotstopthemuseumfromcontinuingtodisplaythearrowinitsexhibition,“Uncovered:
TreasuresoftheAustralianMuseum3,”whichdoesincludeafeathercapepresentedtoCookbyHawaiianKingKalani’opu’uin1778.
CookwasoneofBritain’sgreatexplorersandiscreditedwithdiscoveringthe“GreatSouthLand,”nowAustralia,in1770.HewasclubbedtodeathintheSandwichIslands,nowHawaii.
ThelegendofCook’sarrowbeganin1824whenHawaiianKingKamehamehaonhisdeathbedgavethearrowtoWilliamAdams,aLondonsurgeonandrelativeofCook’swife,sayingitwasmadeofCook’sboneafterthefatalfightwithislanders.
Inthe1890sthearrowwasgiventotheAustralianMuseumandthelegendcontinueduntilitcameface-to-facewithscience.
DNAtestingbylaboratoriesinAustraliaandNewZealandrevealedthearrowwasnotmadeofCook’sbonebutwasmorelikelymadeofanimalbone,saidPhilp.
However,Cook’sfansrefusetogiveuphopethatoneCooklegendwillprovetrueandthatpartofhisremainswillstillbeuncovered,astheysaythereisevidencenotallofCook’sbodywasburiedatseain1779.“Onthisoccasiontechnologyhaswon,4”saidCliffThornton,presidentoftheCaptainCookSociety,inastatementfromBritain.“ButIamsurethatoneofthesedays…oneoftheCooklegendswillprovetobetrueanditwillhappenoneday.”

Anavalancheisasuddenandrapidflowofsnow,oftenmixedwithairandwater,downamountainside.Avalanchesareamongthebiggestdangersinthemountainsforbothlifeandproperty.

Aslopethatisflatenoughtoholdsnowbutsteepenoughtoskihasthepotentialtogenerateanavalanche,regardlessoftheangle.Additionally,avalancheriskincreaseswithuse;thatis,themoreaslopeisdisturbedbyskiers,themorelikelyitisthatanavalanchewilloccur.

Constructedofhigh-strengthconcrete,thebuildingprovidesaround1,800squaremetresofofficespaceoneveryfloor.Andithasashoppingcentreandaconcerthallatthebase.Other features ofthisimpressivebuildingincludedouble-deckerlifts,andglassandsteelsunshades.
TheMillauBridge
TheMillauBridgewasopenedin2004intheTamValley,insouthernFrance.At thetimeitwasbuilt,itwastheworld’shighestbridge, reaching over340matthehighestpoint.Thebridgeisdescribedasoneofthemostamazinglybeautifulbridgesintheworld.Itwasbuiltto relieveMillau'scongestionproblems.ThecongestionwasthencausedbytrafficpassingfromParistoBarcelonainSpain.Thebridgewasbuilttowithstandthemostextremeseismicandclimaticconditions.Besides,itisguaranteedfor120years!
TheItaipuDam
TheItaipuhydroelectricpowerplantisoneofthelargestconstructionsofitskindintheworld.ItconsistsofaseriesofdamsacrosstheRiverParana,which formsanaturalborderbetweenBrazilandParaguay.Startedin1975andtaking16yearstocomplete,theconstructionwascarriedoutasajointprojectbetweenthetwo countries.Thedamiswell-knownforbothitselectricityoutputanditssize.In1995itproduced78%ofParaguay’sand25%ofBrazil’s energy needs.Initsconstruction,theamountofironandsteelusedwasequivalenttoover300EiffelTowers.Itisatruly amazingwonderofengineering.

“Therehasbeenalotofapparentevidenceaboutdogsbarkingorbirdsmigratingbeforevolcaniceruptionsorearthquakes.Butithasnotbeenproven,”saidMatthewvanLierop,ananimalbehaviorspecialistatJohannesburgZoo.
