  janeeyerwasabornresister,whoseparentswentoffwhenshewasveryyoung,andheraunt,theonlyrelativeshehad,treatedherasbadlyasaragtag.sincejane’seducationinlowwoodorphanagebegan,shedidn’tgetwhatshehadbeenexpecting――simplybeingregardedasacommonperson,justthesameasanyothergirlaround.thesuffersfrombeinghumiliatedanddevastatedteachjanetobeperseveringandprizedignityoveranythingarewardofrevoltingtheruthleoppression,janegotachancetobeatutorinthornfieldgarden.thereshemadetheacquaintanceoflovelyadeleandthatgarden’sowner,rochester,amanwithwarmheartdespiteacoldfaceoutside.janeexpectedtochangethelifefromthenon,butfatehaddecidedotherwise:

Asthestoryextends,moreandmorethingsareaddedtotheanswer.Fromthebeginning,weknowthatJaneisayoungorphanraisedbyMrs.Reed,hercruel,wealthyaunt.FromherexperienceattheLowoodSchool,wefoundJaneaplain-featuredbutintelligentandhonestgirl.Hercouragetofightwithallthehardships,oppressionandinequalitymakesadeepimpressiononus.WhenshemeetsRochesterandSt.John,Janeshowsusbothherpassionforloveandherstickingtoherprinciplesofjustice,humandignityandmorality.

  WhilewearegettingtoknowmoreaboutJaneEyre,sheisalsoexploringherself.WhensheleavesGateshead,thelittlegirldoesn’tknowwhattoexpectinthefuture.Shehasenduredsomuchunfairtreatmentthatallshedesiresisfreedom.However,whenJanegetsfreedom,shefindsherselfyearningfornewexperiences,whichcanchangeherlifeoflonelinessandneglect.ShefollowsherinnermostfeelingsandacceptsagovernesspositionatamanorcalledThornfield,whereshefallsheadoverheelsinlovewithheremployer,Rochester.

  ThenitcomestothemostimportantdecisionthatJanehastomakeinherlife.Rochesteralreadyhasawife,butJanewondershowshecouldeverfindanothermanwhovaluesherthewayRochesterdoes.Toleave,ortostay,Janeiscaughtinadilemma.Atthismoment,Janecloseshereyesandlooksintohersoul.Icanwellrememberthewordsshesaystoherself:
