However,thebirdshandledawkwardlyinexperimentsinwhichtheycouldchoosetodropobjectsineitherawidetubeoranarrowtubetogetsnack,theresearcherssaid.Droppingobjectsintothenarrowtubewouldliftthewaterlevelbyagreateramountandputthetreatwithinreachafterjusttwodrops.Incontrast,ittookaroundsevendropstoraisethesnacktothesamelevelinthewidetube.Thecrowsobviouslydidn’trealizethis,andmostofthemwentforthewidetubefirst.
