InthefourmonthssinceIlastpostedarticlesonmyblog,I’vebeenspendingalotoftimestudyingChinese.IwantedtopasstheHSK.Fromthebeginningofmyprogram,theHSKwastheendgoalofmyChineselearningthisyear.Luckily,IpasseditandnowIhaveoneandahalfmonthstogohomeandstaywithmyfamily.

It’sreallyexcitingtolearnChineseinanenvironmentwhereIcanstudyveryfast.What’smore,Icanseemyownprogressindifferentways.WhenIgothereeightandahalfmonthsago,Ionlyknewafewofthe150wordstestedintheHSK1.However,untilnow,I’vetakenandpassedthe2500wordHSK5.

IrememberatimearoundJanuary.IthoughtmyChinesehadreachedthepointwhereIwascomfortableinmydaytodayconversations.Somyprogresswouldslowdowngreatly.However,itturnedoutthatIwastotallywrong.TheconversationsIcanhavenowfarsurpass(超过)theonesIwashavinginJanuary.

TodayIhitalanguagelearninglandmark(里程碑)thatwasparticularlyexcitingforme:
