1.0Introduction

Aconferenceisgoingtobeheldforthecompany’smostseniorBritishmanagers,togetherwithFrenchcounterpartattheendofnextmonth.Thisconferencewilltakeplaceovertwodaysandallthemanagerswillspendthethirddaysightseeingatthechosenlocation.

ThisreportisforthegeneralmanagertomakeafinaldecisiononthearrangementfortheManager’sConference.

Thereportistoexplaintheauthor’sresearchandtellhowshecametothisdecision.TheaimofthereportistorecommendthearrangementfortheManager’sConference.Thisreportwillcoverwhenandwheretheconferencecantakeplaceandhotelaccommodation.Italsowillcoverhowthemanagerscantraveltotheirdestination,includingprojectedcostsandsightseeingontheSaturday.

2.0Procedure

Concerningthecomparisonbetweenthecity,theroutes,thehotelandsoonneedalotofinformation,especiallythechoiceofvehiclerequiretheup-to-dateinformation,sotheInternetandvarioussearchenginesarechosenasthewayofgatheringtherequiredinformation.

3.0Thetimeandtheplace

3.1Time

Accordingtotherequireddate,thereisonearrangementcanmeetit.Thatis,theconferencewillbeheldinthe29thand30thDec,2011andthe31stDec,2011isthesightseeingday.Toprovideamoresatisfactorybusinesstripfortheseniormanagers,theycouldhavetheirhotelcheck-inatthenight,28thDec,2011andhotelcheck-outinthemorning,1stJan,2012.Thus,writerscouldbooktheticketduringthistime.

3.2Location

Tosupplyagoodchanceformostofthemanagerstosightseeanewcity,thefirstconsiderationistochooseacityneitherinBritishnorinFrance.Besides,addingtheconditionthatthelocationsupposetobealargeEuropeancityandthetravelbudgethavealimit,thecityshouldbeanEuropeUnitedcityandnottoofarawayfrombothBritishandParis.Finally,Frankfurtisregardedastheperfectoption.

First,Frankfurtisabig,importantcenteroftheindustry,financeandtransportationinGerman.Secondly,thereareatleast50,000internationalconferencesheldhereannually.It’snodoubtasuitableplaceforhavingourcompany’sconference.Thirdly,nomatterhowtoarriveatFrankfurt,byair,bytrainorbycar,itisveryconvenient.Additionally,sinceFrankfurtisveryclosetoParisandBritish（Figure1showsbelow）,thetravelfarewouldnotbeexpensive.Lastly,asafamous,culturaloldcity,therearelotsofplacesofinterestandmuseumsformanagerstosee.So,writersrecommendFrankfurtasthisconference’splace.

TheauthorsearchedtheinformationabouttheEuropeantrain’spriceandschedule.Butthereshowednoreturnticketstobuy,sotheauthorrecommendstobuytwosingletickets.Additionally,traveFirstClassticketistooexpensiveandbeyondthebudgetand2ndclassticket’spricearealsoallbeyondthebudget.So,writersfinallyrecommendthecheapest2ndclasstrainticket.（Table1showsbelow）
