lookeuponthefaceofthegreatbodypolitiqueofthisweale

publique,andthereinconsiderthehighwisedomeofHissacred

Majestie,astheintellectualpartofthisMicorcosme,oralter

NaturalmatterofCommerceisMerchandize:

theendofTradehavestiledCommodities.TheArtificialmatter

ofCommerceisMoney,whichhathobtainedthetitlesinewsof

warreandofState.

laidehisrighthandontheyonger,andhislefthandonthe

FirstthereforeforthewantofMoneyinthisKingdome,many

reasonsmaybeeassign'd.WhereofsomeareImmediate,some

mediateorremote.TheImmediatereasonsofthewantofmoney,

areeithersuchashindertheImportation;ofsuchascausethe

exportationthereof.Andboththerseareoccasionedbythe

under-valueationofhisMajestiesCaoine,tothatofour

NeighbourCountries.ForwhowilprocurelicenceinSpaineto

bringReallesintoEngland,tosellthemhereatteninthe

hundredgaine,whichislessethentheExchangefromthencewill

yeeld;whenheemayhaveforthesamefiveandtwentyinthe

hundredinHolland?

HerefiveRealsofeight,whichmaketwenty

shillingssterling,willcommonlyyeeldtwoandtwentyshillings

orthereabouts:

andthesameinHollandwillyeeldfortytwo

shillings&sixepenceFlemish,whichisfiveandtwenty
