5ForeignTradeGrowthofChina（inbillionofRMB）

Asthegraphshows,ChineseexportsalmostremainedsteadyinJanuarylastyear.InFebruary,theywentuprapidly.Inthenextthreemonths,theyfluctuatedbetween20billionand25billion.FromMaytoOctober,exportssawaslightdecrease,thenasmallincreaseinNovember.InDecember,therewasasignificantincrease.Butafterthat,Chineseexportsfelldramatically.

Comparedwithexports,ChineseimportssawacontinuousrisefromthebeginningoflastyeartoMay.Inthenextsixmonths,theyshowedagradualfluctuation.AtthestartofNovember,theybegantopickupandfromNovembertoDecember,importsincreasedabruptlytoreachapeakof17billion.Atthebeginningofthisyear,asuddendeclineinexportsledtosteepfallinimports.
