Thesedaysaresetasidetoshowloveandrespectforparents.Theyraisetheirchildrenandeducatethemtoberesponsiblecitizens.Theygiveloveandcare.
Thesetwospecialdaysarecelebratedinmanydifferentways.OnMother'sDaypeoplewearcarnations.Aredonesymbolizesalivingmother.Awhiteoneshowsthatthemotherisdead.Manypeopleattendreligiousservicestohonorparents.Itisalsoadaywhenpeolplewhoseparentsaredeadvisitthecemetery.Onthesedaysfamiliesgettogetherathome,aswellasinrestaurants.TheyoftenhaveoutdoorbarbecuesforFather'sDay.Thesearedaysoffunandgoodfeelingsandmemories.
Anothertraditonistogivecardsandgifts.Childrenmaketheminschool.Manypeoplemaketheirownpresents.Thesearevaluedmorethantheonesboughtinstores.Itisnotthevalueofthegiftisimportant,butitis"thethoughtthatcounts".Greetingcardstores,florists,candymakers,bakeries,telephonecompanies,andotherstoresdoalotofbusinessduringtheseholidays.
