从读学写，读写结合，以写促读，是有效提高英语综合能力的一种方法。
在阅读教学中，要变换多样方法，加大“以读带写，以写促读”的训练。
具体教学中，应该把教材文本中短小精悍的阅读篇章作为写作教学的一个重要组成部分，教师可以对所学的语言材料进行重组，结合相关的语境供学生阅读，更可在教学语篇时丰富一些幽默、趣味的材料。
既可以促进学生储备丰富的语言知识，培养语感，又能为学生英文写作提供广泛的素材，培养学生语篇领悟能力。
教师可以帮助学生将丰富的词汇和精彩的句型运用到英语写作中去，这样就把写作教学与阅读教学紧密结合。
