Agroupof1,309passengersboardedtheMS.BalmoralonSunday,inSouthampton,England,onavoyagetoretracethepathoftheTitanic.TheTitanicwasthebiggestshipintheworldwhenitsailedonitsill-fatedmaidenvoyagein1912.Ofthe2,227passengersandcrewaboard,morethan1,500died.Theship,whichwasheadedtoNewYorkCity,carriedtherichandfamousonitsfirstvoyage.Italsocarriedimmigrants,whowereseekingabetterlifeinAmerica.

RelativesofpeoplewhosailedontheTitanic,historians,authorsandpeoplefascinatedbythestoryoftheunsinkableship,areontheBalmoral.Theywanttorememberthedoomedshipandthosewhodiedonherfirstandlastvoyage.ThehistoriclinerhadsetsailonApril10,1912,fromSouthampton.LateatnightonApril14,shehitaniceberg.IntheearlymorninghoursofApril15,theTitanicsank.

TheBalmoralisfollowingTitanic'soriginalroutefromSouthampton.First,themodern-daycruiselinerdockedintheportofCherbourg,France,wheretheTitanichadpickedupmorepassengers.OnMondayafternoon,theBalmoralstopsinCobh,Ireland,theTitanic'slastportofcallbeforesailingtoNewYork.

BalmoralwillthencruisetheNorthAtlanticOceantothelocationwhereTitanichitanicebergthatrippedtheship'shull(外壳).OnSunday,April15,at2:

20a.m.—thetimetheTitanicwentdown—passengersandcrewwillholdamemorialservice.ThenexttwodayswillbespentinHalifax,Canada,wheremanyvictimsofthesinkingareburied.Then,theBalmoralwillreachitsfinaldestinationinNewYorkCity,whereTitanicwassupposedtodock—butneverdid.
