ThekindergartenatEdgewoodisdesignedtomeettheneedsofastudentwhomayormaynotbeofkindergartenage.Thestudentisplacedaccordingtohis/herdevelopmentalneedsandreadiness.Astudentmayenterthisclassasearlyas4.5yearsofageoraslateas6.5yearsofage.Itisourbeliefthatnochildshouldbepushedforwardorheldbacksimplytokeepupwithothers.Eachstudentisallowedtoprogressather/hisownpaceinallareas.Weprovideappropriateexperiencestohelpeachchildbenefitfromtheformalinstructiontheywillreceiveineachareaofourcurriculum(课程).Studentswhostillneedreadinessskillswillbeprovidedwithreadinessinstruction.Advancedstudentswillbeprovidedwithchallenginglearningexperiencesandmaterialsappropriatetotheirdevelopmentalneed.
