二、定冠词的用法

定冠词the几乎可以用于所用形式或类别的名词前。

1、特指某（些）人或某（些）物。

Thewomaninblueishermother.

2、指谈话双方都知道的人或事物，但若有代词修饰则不用冠词。

Whereisthegirl?

Katetookthewatchaway.

Theteacherisintheoffice./Theteacherisinhisoffice.

3、特指上文提到的人或物。

Thereisariverinourhometown.Insummerweoftengoswimmingintheriver.

4、用于世界上独一无二的事物前。

Theearthgoes/runsaroundthesun.

Wecanseealotofstarsinthesky.

5、用在序数词和形容词的最高级前。

Thefirstlessoniseasyforus.

Heisthetallestofthethree.

6、用在表示方位的词前。

GuangzhouisinthesouthofChina.

7、用于表示江河、山脉和一些由普通词构成的专有名词前，但如果普通名词构成的专有名词中有汉语拼音时，一般不用the。

8、用在姓氏复数前表示一家人或夫妻二人。

9、与某些形容词连用，表示一类人。

10、用于固定词组中。

三、零冠词

1、专有名词前不用冠词，如国度、地名、人名等。

China,America

2、不可数名词表示一般意义时。

3、名词复数表示类别时。

Theyareteacher.

Childrenlikereadingstories.

4、名词前已经有作定语的this，that，my，your，some，any等代词时。

5、节日、日期、月份、季节前。

6、在称呼语或表示头衔的名词前。
