A.whereB.whenC.whoD.which
2.Formanycitiesintheworld,thereisnoroomtospreadourfurther,________
NewYorkisanexample.(2008四川卷)
A.forwhichB.inwhichC.ofwhichD.fromwhich
1.Thegirlaswellastheotherstudents________excited.
A.wasB.wereC.beingD.be
当主语后面跟有aswellas,asmuchas,with,togetherwith,nolessthan,alongwith,like,ratherthan,nomorethan,inadditionto,but,except,besides,including等引导的词组时,其谓语动词的单复数随主语的单复数而定,造成主语和谓语分离,让同学们误入陷阱。
(1)Noonebutherparents________it.
A.knowsB.knowC.isknowingD.areknowing
(2)Mary,togetherwithtwoboys,________forhavingbrokentherule.
A.waspunishedB.punishedC.werepunishedD.beingpunished
(3)Alibrarywithfivethousandbooks________tothenationasagift.
A.isofferedB.hasn’tdecidedC.aren’tdecidedD.haven’tdecided
(4)Theteacher,togetherwith6girlsand8boysofherclass,________visitinga
museumwhentheearthquakestruck.
A.wasB.wereC.hadbeenD.wouldbe
2.The________wesawyesterdaycomeoutfromthefarmonceinawhile.
A.cowB.dogC.horseD.deer
3.A________offishhasbeenkilledinthisriverbecauseofseriouspollution
A.lotB.number
C.massD.greatdeal
(1)Largeamountsofwater________pollutedsincethefactorywasbuiltlastyear.
A.wasB.wereC.havebeenD.hasbeen
(2)Alargequantityofcrops________destroyedintheflood.
A.wasB.wereC.haveD.has
主语是amounts而不是water;
1.Inthewartime,themassesdevoted________theyhad________thearmyinfightingagainsttheJapanese.
A.whatever;
tosupportingB.what;
supporting
C.anythingwhich;
tosupportingD.all;
tosupporting
这道题目考查的是一个固定句型搭配,即devote(time,money,energy…)to(doing)sth。
2.Howlongdoyouthinkitis________shearrivedhere?
A.whenB.thatC.beforeD.since
Itis(howlong)sinceshearrivedhere.
Itwill(not)be…before…(要过多久…… 和Itwas(not)…before…(过了多久……
