摘要
欧洲经过十六世纪百余年的宗教和政治改革的大变动之后，在十七世纪下半叶建立了
一个普遍的力学体系，那么近代科学和技术能在此阶段发展壮大起来，是否跟宗教改革有
关系呢?
本文主要从十七世纪占主导地位的清教主义观念着手，分析了当时清教主义和欧
洲近代技术的发展之间的积极作用。
论文首先介绍了欧洲近代以前的技术发展状况，主要从古希腊时期和中世纪时期技术
发展的状况来介绍。
而后介绍了近代技术发展进入了全盛时期的发展状况，欧洲近代技术
发展从18世纪中期至20世纪初，欧洲经历了蒸汽技术革命和电力技术革命，在此期间钢铁
冶炼、化工、内燃机等各项技术也都有显著进步和重大发明。
技术革命和技术的全面进步
导致生产体系的重大变革，引起社会生产力发展的飞跃，从而产生了近代产业革命。
并对技
术发展如此迅速的原因作出分析，欧洲十六世纪的宗教改革无疑对近代技术的发展有很大
的促进作用，尤其是宗教改革后占当时主导地位的清教主义。
论文第二部分详细介绍了清
教主义的内容及特征，以及清教主义所产生的历史背景。
同时介绍了清教主义在近代欧洲
的地位以及传播范围。
文章的第三部分，也就是最重要的部分，着重介绍了清教主义对欧
洲近代技术发展的促进作用。
论文立足于宗教与技术发展的和谐观点，指出清教主义是促进近代技术的发展。
当然
在历史发展的不同时期，宗教与技术的关系是有和谐也有冲突的，是非常复杂的。
在几百
多年前的欧洲，作为当时占主导地位的清教主义对近代欧洲技术的发展是促进作用的，我
们可以从清教主义的特征和内容来进行研究，清教主义与当时社会的进步和发展是密不可
分的，在21世纪的今天，宗教与技术的关系仍然存在，未来技术与宗教的关系到底会怎
样，我们也无法判断。
