OneafternoonIwassittingathomefeelingsobored.Insteadoffeelingsorryformyself,IwantedtomeetpeopleandhavenewexperiencessoIdecidedtostartvolunteering.IsearchedonmycomputerandfoundawebsitewhereIcouldvolunteeronafarminFrance.

However,youdonotneedtogoabroadtovolunteer.Ihavehadplentyofadventuresathomeasvolunteeringcanbecomeahobby.Forexample,IlovesingingsoIhadagoodlaughwavingmyarmsinanattempttoconductmylocalchoir.Ididslowlyimproveanditfeltgreattoconductthechoirinaconcert.Atuniversity,Iorganisedaconcertforcharitywithmyfriends.Itwasreallyfunfindinghandsandraisingmoneyforacausewebelievein.

Itistruethatyoufeelgoodvolunteeringbuttherearealsootheradvantages.Ioncevol-unteeredasaserveratacharitysportseventwheretheorganizersgavemecupcakestothankmeformyservices.IalsovolunteeredinacharityshopsoIfoundloadsofnicecheapclothestoupdatemywardrobe(衣柜).
