ThisthesisappliestheconceptualmetaphortheorytoanalyzethemetaphorsintheMATTHEW,unveilingthemetaphoricalthinkingofcognitivemetaphorsofreligion.Besides,itmakesacomparisonaboutthemetaphoricalthinkingofthesamesourcedomainbetweenBibleandthetraditionalChineseculture,andfindsthatdifferentmetaphoricalthinkingreflectsdifferentculturebackground.Threemainfindingsispresentedinthethethesis:
first,theparablesinMATTHEWallcontainthenaturalorcommonobjectsintheirsourcedomainforpeopletounderstandobscureandabstractbiblicalconceptseasily;
second,bothCMTandCBTareproductivemethodstoillustratemetaphorsbutthelateronecanbemoreexplanatoryinunderstandingextendedmetaphors;
third,experience,cognitionandcultureareinclosetriangularrelations.Allinall,throughtheanalysisofmetaphorsinMATTHEW,wehaveabetterunderstandingofthegenerationandexplanationofbiblicalmetaphorsaswellasthecloserelationsamongexperience,cognitionandHebrewculture.

摘要:
隐喻是一种普遍现象,渗透于人类语言方方面面。
传统视角下的隐喻被限定为一种修饰性语言。
现代西方对隐喻的研究突破了此局限,更多侧重于对隐喻现象产生的解释,并在对各领域各学科的研究基础上产生认知隐喻学。
《圣经》不仅是基督教的经典,更是西方文化的源泉。
国内外学者对圣经的研究,多集中于其所蕴藏的文学价值,少数对圣经隐喻的分析,也集中于旧约牧羊人的隐喻。
本文采用认知隐喻学理论中的概念隐喻理论,对圣经新约中首卷马太福音中的相关隐喻作分析,揭示人们对宗教隐喻的认知性思维方式,并对比分析圣经中源域涉及物事与对应中国传统文化下相同物事所隐射的目标域差异,发现文化对隐喻认知产生重大影响,隐喻思维差异折射文化差异。
通过分析,本文主要有三个发现:
一、马太福音中隐喻都将听教者身边自然物或者常见物作为源域以便更好阐释复杂抽象的圣经概念;
二、概念隐喻理论与概念混合理论对阐释马太福音中的隐喻十分有效,但后者在对于博喻的阐释中更具说服力;
三、切身体验与认知和文化形成一种三角关系,三者间相互影响,对隐喻的形成起重大作用。
通过对马太福音的分析,我们对整个圣经隐喻的产生和阐释以及体验、认知与文化三者间的联系有了更好的理解。

1.Introduction
Thefirstpartofthethesisistheintroductionwhichcontainsthebackground,methodsandtheframeworkofthestudy.ThereasonsthatthepaperchoosesBibleandmetaphorasstudyobjectsaremainlyelaboratedinthispart,whichpavesthewayforthedevelopmentofthestudy.
1.1BackgroundoftheStudy
Metaphorisuniversalasitpermeatesalmosteveryaspectofhuman’slives.Andthemetaphoricalfeaturereflectsthehumanisticpropertyofthelanguage.Inwesternculture,thesystematicstudyofmetaphorcanbetracedbacktoAristotle,whotreatedmetaphorasarhetoricmethodtomodifylexiconinhisworkThePoetics.Traditionalperspectiveconfinedmetaphortoafigurativelanguagewhilecontemporaryresearchessurmountthehedgeandplacethemetaphorinthecognitivespherewhichconcentratesontheinterpretationoftheworkingmechanismofmetaphor.Cognitivelinguisticsassertsthatmetaphorismoreofatoolforhumantoperceiveintotheworldthanofamethodtodecoratethetext,whichhasanindispensableinfluenceonthehuman’sthoughtbeingandbehaviorbeing.Themainviewsofthecognitivelinguisticscanbelistedasfollows:

Thegenerationanddevelopmentofthecognitivelinguisticstriggeredthehottrendtorestudythemetaphorbothathomeandaboard.Andthemodernstudyofmetaphorispronetoputthecognitiveresearchintoavasterculturalbackground.
Bycontrast,thestudyofcognitivelinguisticshasalatebeginninginourcountrywithitspropagationstartingintheendof1980s.AlthoughtheleadingauthorityasShuDingfangandHuZhuanglinathomedidreaphugefruitsandfertilethesoilofcognitivemetaphors,there’sstillundeniableandunelectablegapbetweentheinternalstudyandexternalwhichiscausedbytheoverduerepetitionatalowlevelaccompanyingbytheignoranceofthespecificlinguisticphenomenon.Thereforethefurthereffortshouldbedevotedtoboththeoreticalandexperimentalwork.
Sincetheapplicationofmetaphoriscloselyrelatedtoculturalandreligiousfactors,thestudyofmetaphorshouldbecarriedoutinaspecificculturalcontext.AndtheBibleissurelyofgreatsignificanceforlinguisticresearch.Foronething,Bibleisn
