1、This thesis applies the conceptual metaphor theory to analyze the metaphors in the MATTHEW, unveiling the metaphorical thinking of cognitive metaphors of religion. Besides, it makes a comparison about the metaphorical thinking of the same source domain between Bible and the traditional Chinese cultu
2、re, and finds that different metaphorical thinking reflects different culture background. Three main findings is presented in the the thesis: first, the parables in MATTHEW all contain the natural or common objects in their source domain for people to understand obscure and abstract biblical concept
3、s easily; second, both CMT and CBT are productive methods to illustrate metaphors but the later one can be more explanatory in understanding extended metaphors; third, experience, cognition and culture are in close triangular relations. All in all ,through the analysis of metaphors in MATTHEW, we ha

5、,更多侧重于对隐喻现象产生的解释,并在对各领域各学科的研究基础上产生认知隐喻学。圣经不仅是基督教的经典,更是西方文化的源泉。国内外学者对圣经的研究,多集中于其所蕴藏的文学价值,少数对圣经隐喻的分析,也集中于旧约牧羊人的隐喻。本文采用认知隐喻学理论中的概念隐喻理论,对圣经新约中首卷马太福音中的相关隐喻作分析,揭示人们对宗教隐喻的认知性思维方式,并对比分析圣经中源域涉及物事与对应中国传统文化下相同物事所隐射的目标域差异,发现文化对隐喻认知产生重大影响,隐喻思维差异折射文化差异。通过分析,本文主要有三个发现:一、 马太福音中隐喻都将听教者身边自然物或者常见物作为源域以便更好阐释复杂抽象的圣经概念;二
6、、概念隐喻理论与概念混合理论对阐释马太福音中的隐喻十分有效,但后者在对于博喻的阐释中更具说服力;三、切身体验与认知和文化形成一种三角关系,三者间相互影响,对隐喻的形成起重大作用。 通过对马太福音的分析,我们对整个圣经隐喻的产生和阐释以及体验、认知与文化三者间的联系有了更好的理解。关键词:认知隐喻;概念隐喻理论;马太福音;文化差异1.
