2.Asaroughguide,itcantakeaseasonedresearcher8-10hourstotranscribetherecordingsofaninterview,whichcangenerateroughly20-30pagesofdialogues.Manyresearchersalsoliketomaintainseparatefolderstomaintaintherecordingcollectedfromthedifferentfocusgroup.Thishelpsthemcompartmentalisethedatacollected.
3.Incasetherearerunningnotestaken,whicharealsoknownasfieldnotes,theyarehelpfulinmaintainingcomments,environmentalcontexts,nonverbalcuesetc.Thesefilednotesarehelpfulandcanbecomparedwhiletranscribingaudiorecordeddata.Suchnotesareusuallyinformalbutshouldbesecuredinasimilarmannerasthevideorecordingsortheaudiotapes.

Qualitativedataanalysissuchasnotes,videos,audiorecordingsimages,andtextdocuments.Oneofthemostusedmethodsforqualitativedataanalysisistextanalysis.
Textanalysisisadataanalysismethodthatisdistinctlydifferentfromallotherqualitativeresearchmethods,whereresearchersanalyzethesociallifeoftheparticipantsintheresearchstudyanddecodethewords,actionsetc.
