However,somehavesaidthatthesupposedhealtheffectsresultfrompeoplefeelingthatthetreatmentworks,ratherthananyphysicaleffectofthetreatment.
Tofigureoutwhethercuppingtherapyhasanyphysicaleffects,lastyearresearchersfromGermanycarriedoutatestinwhichasham(假装的)treatmentwasprovided.
Inthestudy,thesametypeofcupswereusedintherealtreatmentandtheshamtreatment.Butintheshamtreatment,thecupshadaholeatthetopsothattheycouldn’tcreatethepropersuction.
