　　AtomicAbsorptionSpectrometry（AAS）isatechniqueformeasuringquantitiesofchemicalelementspresentinenvironmentalsamplesbymeasuringtheabsorbedradiationbythechemicalelementofinterest.Thisisdonebyreadingthespectraproducedwhenthesampleisexcitedbyradiation.Theatomsabsorbultravioletorvisiblelightandmaketransitionstohigherenergylevels.
