3.1activeslavebroadcast（ASB）:

ThelogicaltransportthatisusedtotransportLogicalLinkControlandAdaptationProtocol（L2CAP）usertraffictoallactivedevicesinthepiconet.

3.2adhocnetwork:

Anetworktypicallycreatedinaspontaneousmanner.Anadhocnetworkrequiresnoformalinfrastructureandislimitedintemporalandspatialextent.

3.3authenticateddevice:

Adevicewhoseidentityhasbeenverifiedduringthelifetimeofthecurrentlink,basedontheauthenticationprocedure.

3.4authentication:

Agenericprocedurebasedonlinkmanagementprofileauthenticationthatdetermineswhetheralinkkeyexistsor,onLinkManagerProtocol（LMP）pairing,whethernolinkkeyexists.

Arelationbetweentwodevicesdefinedbycreating,exchanging,andstoringacommonlinkkeyThebondiscreatedthroughthebondingorLinkManagerProtocol（LMP）pairingprocedures.

EitheraphysicalchanneloranLogicalLinkControlandAdaptationProtocol（L2CAP）channel,dependingonthecontext.

3.40LMPpairing:

Aprocedurethatauthenticatestwodevices,basedonapersonalidentificationnumber（PIN）,andsubsequentlycreatesacommonlinkkeythatcanbeusedasabasisforatrustedrelationshipora（single）secureconnection.Theprocedureconsistsofthefollowingsteps:

creationofaninitializationkey（basedonarandomnumberandaPIN）,creationandexchangeofacommonlinkkey,andLinkManagerProtocol（LMP）authenticationbasedonthecommonlinkkey.
