“Ourbrainhasbillionsofnervecells.Thesesendsignalsthroughthespinalcord(脊髓)tothemusclestogiveustheabilitytomove.Butspinalcordinjuriesorotherconditionscanpreventtheseweakelectricalsignalsfromreachingthemuscles.”Tavellasays.“Oursystemallowsdisabledpeopletocommunicatewithoutsideworldandalsotocontroldevices.”
