Theconceptof"school-basedstudy"wasformallyputforwardbyYuanguiren,viceminister,inatrainingconferenceonMarch27,2004.School-basedstudyinShaanxiProvincestartedfromtheOpiniononPromotingSchool-basedStudyinPrimaryandSecondarySchools[ShaanxiTeachers2010]No.69DocumentissuedbytheProvincialDepartmentofEducationin2010.Themainpurposeistocomprehensivelyimprovetheprofessionallevelofteachers,implementtheMinistryofEducation's"primaryandsecondaryschoolteacherstocomplete360classhoursofcontinuingeducationtaskeveryfiveyears",balancethebasiceducationresources,andpromotethecomprehensivedevelopmentofprimaryandsecondaryeducationteachingandcurriculumreform.

"School-based"meansschool-based,and"studyandstudy"meansresearch,explorationandreflectioninordertoachievetheimprovementofteachersthemselves.Broadlyspeaking,"basedon,within,orfortheschool".

3.Whatarethebasicprinciplesofschool-basedstudy?
