名词性从句

名词性从句在句中相当于名词，可以作主语、宾语、表语和同位语，因此有四种形式：

主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句。

引导名词性从句的连接词有that、whether、if、what、who、whose、whom,which,when、why、how等，一般情况下不可省略，只有在宾语从句中that有时可以省略。

一、主语从句

在句中起主语作用的从句为主语从句。

其连接词有三类：

连接代词：

what、which、who、whose、whatever,whoever等；

连接副词when，where，how，why和从属连词that,if,whether。

连接代词在从句中作主语、宾语、表语等；连接副词在从句中作状语；从属连词在从句中不作住何成分。

Thatshepassedtheexammadeusveryhappy.

她通过了考试，这使得我们非常高兴。

Whetherhewillcomeornotisstillaquestion.

他是否会来仍然是个问题。

温馨提示

有时，为了平衡句子结构或表示强调，常用it来作形式主语，把主语从句放到后面。

ItissaidthatthenovelhasbeentranslatedintoEnglish.

据说这部小说已经被翻译成了英语。

二、宾语从句

在句中起宾语作用的从句为宾语从句。

宾语从句的引导词有连接代词who,whom、whose、what、which、whoever,whatever,whichever等；连接副词when，where,why、how等；从属连词that,whether,if。

Hesaid（that）hewasgoingtoAustraliathissummer.

他说今年夏天他要去澳大利亚。

Heaskedwhosedictionarythiswas.

他问这是谁的词典。

Idon'tknowwhyhehasn'tturnedupyet.

我不知道他为什么还没出现。

温馨提示

在某些带有复合宾语的句式中，也常用it作形式宾语，把宾语从句放到后面。

IfinditnecessarythatweshouldstudyEnglish.

我发现我们学英语有必要。

三、表语从句

该从句在句中作表语，一般放在系动词之后，主要是对主语进行解释说明。

引导表语从句的词有从属连词that、whether、asif，asthough、because等；连接代词who，whom、whose，which、what等；连接副词when，where，why,how等。

Thatiswherehewasborn.那就是他出生的地方。

Thequestioniswhetheritisworthdoing.问题是它值不值得做。

ksasifitisgoingtorain。

天看上去好像要下雨。

温馨提示:

句子的主语是suggestion,advice,requirement,request、order等表示建议、要求、命令的名词时，后面的表语从句中的谓语动词用“should+动词原形”，其中should可省略.

Hissuggestionisthatwe（should）finishtheworkatonce.

他建议我们立刻完成工作。

四、同位语从句

该从句在句中作同位语，它一般跟在一些抽象名词后面，如idea、belief、at、truth等，对名词作进一步解释说明。

同位语从句常用that或连接副词when,where,how等引导。

Thefactthathedidn'tsayanythingatthemeetingsurprisedeverybody.

他在会上什么也没说，这使得大家很惊讶。

Ihavenoideawhenhewillbeback.

我不知道他什么时候会回来

Heagreedwithmysuggestionthatweshouldchangethedate.

他同意我提出的更改日期的建议。

注意：

由that或if/whether引导的名词性从句

1.that不充当任何句子成分，只起连接作用，无任何意义。

that引导主语从句时，常用作形式主语，谓语动词用单数形式；引导宾语从句时常省略；引导主语从句、表语从句及同位语从句时一般不省略。

Itisverylikelythattherewillbeasnowstormtomorrow.

明天很可能会有一场暴风雪。

（主语从句）

Iknowthathedidn'tpasstheexam.

我知道他没有通过考试。

（宾语从句）

Thereasonforyourmistakeisthatyouarecareless.

你犯错误的原因是你粗心。

（表语从句）

Theywereveryworriedaboutthefactthatyouweresick.

对你生病这件事，他们很担心。

（同位语从句）

温馨提示:

不能省略that的宾语从句：

（1）句中的动词后有两个以上的宾语从句时，紧跟动词的宾语从句可以省去that，其余的宾语从句中that一般都不能省去。

Hesaid（that）theexhibitionwasexcellentandthathewantedtovisititoncemore.他说展览非常精彩，他想再去参观一次。

（2）主句谓语和宾语从句之间有插入语时，宾语从句中的that不能省去

JustthenInoticed,forthefirsttime,thatourministerwaswearinghisfinegreencoatandhisblacksilkcap.就在那时我第一次注意到我们的部长穿上了他的高档绿色大衣,并戴上了他的黑色丝质礼帽。

（3）it作形式宾语，其后引导宾语从句的that不能省去。

WeallbelieveittruethatMrSmithwaselectedchairmanoftheclub.我们都相信史密斯先生当选为俱乐部主席的消息是真的。

2whether/if作“是否”讲，引导名词性从句时，很多情况下可以互换。

I'lltrytocheckwhether/ifthemachineisingoodcondition.

我将尽量核实这台机器是否状况良好。

温馨提示:

只用whether不用if的情况:

（1）当名词性从句放在句首作主语时

Whetheritisgoingtoclearupkeepsmewondering.

天是否会放晴让我拿不准。

（2）引导表语从句时

ThequestioniswhethertheTVplayisworthwatching.

问题是这部电视剧是否值得看。

（3）引导同位语从句时

I'mindoubtwhetherIshouldagreetotheplan.

我不确定是否该同意这项计划。

（4）引导的宾语从句作介词的宾语时

Sheisnotcertainaboutwhethershehasdoneanythingwrong.

她不确定自己是否做错什么了。

（5）其后接动词不定式时

Canyoutellmewhethertogoortostay?

你能告诉我是走还是留下来吗?

（6）后跟ornot时

运用名词性从句时的注意点

2“疑问词+ever”和“nomatter+疑问词”的区别

1）疑问词+ever”可引导名词性从句，在从句中充当一定的成分。

如:

（在主语从句中作主语）任何违反规定的人都必须受罚。
