一、语篇选材

这篇文章选自DaisyGrewal和PeterSalovey于2005年7月发表的论文TheScienceofEmotionalIntelligence 最后两段。

改编后的高考文章总体和原文一致，替换了部分生词和难理解的词。

二、文章难度

D篇究竟难在哪里呢？

难点一：

词汇

1.考查词汇广度

本文出现了大量的课标内词汇的派生词和学术词汇（AcademicWords） （AW）。

新课标上明确指出，根据构词法可推导出的词不算作课标外词汇。

新课标上也提到学生需要“了解词根、词缀，掌握词性变化规律，通过构词法建构词族、词汇语义网，扩大词汇量。

”

如何应对：

让学生掌握构词法知识，养成构词法意识、词族意识及精准推测词义的能力。

2.考查词汇深度

除了上面提到的派生词外，D篇中还出现了一词多义、熟词生义、名词动化、词块等，如果学生无法根据语境排除多义词的歧义，推测熟词生义的语用意义，势必会给准确理解语篇带来困难。

近几年高考考查越来越灵活，侧重考查在语境中运用英语准确理解和确切表达意义的能力，即“语用能力”，所以培养学生的语感和思维能力尤其重要，授之以鱼不如授之以渔。

 如何应对：

1.有意识地培养学生的词汇意识：

释义六个维度意识（一词多义、熟词生义、精准的汉语释义、英语释义、辨析义、搭配义）、根据基本义推测衍生义、词块意识等。

如：

makeup的基本义是“构成”，各种化学成分的“构成”即是“化妆品”，人的“构成”即是“品质，性格”。

2.通过释义的六个维度嚼透词汇的释义、用法和搭配：

词汇是句子的基础，词汇都不认识或认不准，长难句更无从谈起了。

难点二：

背景知识

本文是一篇心理学学术论文，谈论“情商”这个抽象的概念。

心理学是一门晦涩难懂的学科，文中涉及的一些概念类词汇更加大了理解的难度，比如emotionalintelligence,emotionalskills,emotion等用中文都不好解释的概念。

科学研究、科普类的文章是新高考一大趋势。
