尽管要打破传统十分艰难,但我们仍要坚信一点,那就是坚持真理。
只有坚定这种信念,用真理打动人们,才有可能打破传统。
守旧的东西势必要被新生力量代替,那些不合时宜的顽固也会因为时代的发展而被淘汰。

尼尔正是因为他无力打破传统,或者说他在传统面前怯懦,导致他选择了一条极端的路。
虽然他用死亡来诠释他对自由的向往,对父母的反抗,但这种方式太过激烈了,他伤害了很多人的情感。
在捍卫自己的信仰和真理时,首先要明确自己所要追求是什么。
然后还要明确自己要选择的道路,这条道路可以有很多方法达到,不必非要用这种残忍的方式来换取。
尼尔的死告诉我们,即使他让父母震惊了,但是仍然没有取得任何效果。
因为父母仍旧不能理解他的想法,甚至把他的死因归咎于基廷老师,从而直接导致基廷老师被驱逐。
于是,对自由教育的追求就此停止了,尼尔使事情更加恶化。
我不提倡这种方式,在与家庭发生冲突时,我认为沟通仍是最主要的。
如果父母不能理解孩子的做法,那么就为自己的理想做出一些成绩,来让父母知道,依靠这种方式我们也可以活得很好。
其实每个父母都爱着自己的孩子,尽管双方会发生各种矛盾,但这不影响他们爱孩子的心,只要找到这份亲情,那些一切都能迎刃而解。
