OneafternoonIwassittingathomefeelingsobored.Insteadoffeeli

ngsorryformyself,IwantedtomeetpeopleandhavenewexperiencessoIdecidedtostartvolunteering.IsearchedonmycomputerandfoundawebsitewhereIcouldvolunteeronafarminFrance.

Mytimeworkingonafarmwasanewexperienceforme.Itwasbasicallyafreeholidayasfoodandaccommodationwereprovided.However,itwasnotyourtypicalholidayasIhadtolookafterfifteenhorsesandsleepatthetopofatowerinacastle!

IwasanawfulfarmerbutitdidnotmatterbecauseImadesomegreatfriends.

However,youdonotneedtogoabroadtovolunteer.Ihavehadplentyofadventuresathomeasvolunteeringcanbecomeahobby.Forexample,IlovesingingsoIhadagoodlaughwavingmyarmsinanattempttoconductmylocalchoir.Ididslowlyimproveanditfeltgreattoconductthechoirinaconcert.Atuniversity,Iorganizedaconcertforcharitywithmyfriends.Itwasreallyfunfindingbandsandraisingmoneyforacausewebelievein.

Itistruethatyoufeelgoodvolunteeringbuttherearealsootheradvantages.Ioncevolunteeredasaserveratacharitysportseventwheretheorganizersgavemecupcakestothankmeformyservices.IalsovolunteeredinacharityshopsoIfoundloadsofnicecheapclothestoupdatemywardrobe(衣柜).

Whilethisisallfun,myfavoriteaspectofvolunteeringiscreatingandsharingstories.Myterribleattemptsatfarminghavegivenmehilariousstoriestotell!
